Cash in on Medicare bonus for e-prescribing
Physicians can earn thousands of dollars in additional Medicare Part B FFS revenue during 2009 if they use electronic prescribing, and it’s not too late to get started. However, the incentives are short-lived. Beginning in 2012, according to the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA), organizations that continue to drag their feet on e-prescribing face reimbursement cuts on the services they provide to Medicare members.
