The long-awaited proposed accountable care organization (ACO) regulations were released March 31, 2010, by CMS. Here's a quick glossary of terms culled from the nearly 116,000-word document, as well as the accompanying 8,700-word proposed statement on the ACO antitrust enforcement policy from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
