Government antitrust regulators applaud specialty hospitals: What about the revenue drain?
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the antitrust division of the Department of Justice (DOJ) jointly published the results of an extensive two-year study that included 27 days of joint hearings that were held in October, 2003. The report, Improving Health Care: A Dose of Competition, which was published in July, examines the effect of competition on all aspects of the healthcare delivery system and, in general, reflects the procompetition biases of the FTC and DOJ.
