Define your culture: Survey evaluates patient safety
A new tool from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) allows hospitals to evaluate their patient safety cultures and determine areas for improvement.
The Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture helps organizations gauge their staffs' perceptions of patient safety. After staff answers the four-page questionnaire, which each organization can customize, hospitals can compile the data to determine which areas need to be improved.
