When John Anderson King joined the medical staff at Putnam General Hospital in Hurricane, WV, in November 2002, he quickly got down to business.
However, seven months after he was recruited to join the hospital’s healthcare team, his privileges were revoked and 100 malpractice suits-including one for the double leg amputation of a 38-year-old mother of three-were filed against both him and the hospital.
