Another clinical advocacy organization has started promoting medical-dental integration. This time the organization is the Palo Alto, CA-based Peninsula Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (PIADS). In what it calls "a rare joint meeting of medical and dental experts" that took place in late February in Palo Alto, the organization reported consensus that "medical and dental professionals should work together to raise awareness about the connection between oral health and several common diseases and conditions."
