MetLife offers dental health DM program to providers
New York City-based MetLife is testing an online dental health risk assessment (HRA)-based disease management (DM) program that it hopes will lower treatment costs for periodontal disease (PD) and-by extension-other medical conditions.
In the program, MetLife will provide participating dentists free access to Mt. Vernon, WA-based PreViser's Oral Health Information Suite oral-health risk-assessment software so they can more effectively treat their MetLife dental plan patients who are affected by, or at risk for, periodontal disease. Dentists can access the software at www.metdental.com.
