Another reason e-prescribing makes good cents



Physicians can earn thousands of dollars in additional Medicare Part B fee-for-service (FFS) revenue this year if they use e-prescribing, and it’s not too late to get started. However, the incentives are short-lived. According to the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA), beginning in 2012, organizations that continue to drag their feet on e-prescribing face reimbursement cuts on the services they provide to Medicare members.
