Obama Budget Targets Medicare and Medicaid Payments

President Barack Obama on Thursday unveiled a $3.1 trillion budget that includes a reserve fund of $630 billion over 10 years for healthcare reform, financed in part by cutting waste and changing payment incentives for physicians, hospitals, and insurers. One of the biggest reimbursement changes involves a switch to bundled payments for hospitalizations.
