WellCare Settlement Tally Tops $427 Million
Monday's class-action settlement of about $194 million resolves all litigation stemming from a four-year-old fraud investigation and combined with other state and federal lawsuits and fines bumps the total settlement costs over the last 15 months to about $427.5 million, the Tampa-based insurer says.
