IOM Elects 65 Members

Members of The Institute of Medicine are elected through a process that recognizes people who have advanced the medical sciences, healthcare, and public health. At least one-quarter of its members must come from outside the health professions, from such fields as law, engineering, and the humanities and the natural, social, and behavioral sciences.
