Hospital Unemployment, Layoffs Steady in 2010
Ten hospital mass layoffs, qualified as termination of 50 or more employees, have been reported for September. The pace of hospitals' job cuts for 2010 lags slightly behind the record of 152 mass layoffs from 2009.
