CDC Stats Underestimate Liver Disease Mortality, Investigators Warn
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ranks mortality related to chronic liver disease and cirrhosis as the 12th most common cause of death in U.S. adults, but research presented at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases suggests the actual ranking should be higher.
