Medicaid Drug Programs Could Save $30B by Dropping FFS, Study Claims



Fee-for-service programs use fewer generic drugs and pay pharmacies higher dispensing fees than Medicare Part D plans, Medicaid managed care organizations, and commercial plans, and could save billions of dollars if dropped, a Lewin Group study concludes.
