Hospice Rates Rise, But Hospitalizations Remain High
While the use of hospice among Medicare patients with congestive heart failure climbed from 19% in the year 2000 to 40% in 2007, "the potential for hospice to prevent costly hospitalizations has yet to be fully realized," researchers say.
