Speed of ED Care Goes Under Quality Microscope

Over the next two years, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services expects hospitals to begin tracking and reporting median times for two benchmarks for emergency department care. The first steps are identifying and defining the metrics by which quality will be measured.
