1 in 3 Medical Directors in Line for Bonus Pay

As hospitals move from fee-for-service toward value-based care, medical director contracts for physicians will be increasingly lucrative, a compensation survey suggests. Sixty percent of hospitals reported spending at least $500,000 in medical director compensation in 2011.
