The Blinn College District and Texas A&M University announced a new partnership that will provide students with a pathway to a bachelor of science in nursing degree.
The waitlist for Ventura College's nursing program sits at four-and-a-half years, according to Sandra Melton, the director of the school of nursing and allied health. The nursing school at Cal State Fullerton had to decide which of 8,000 applicants would take 100 available spots in its fall 2023 entering class, said its director, Penny Weismuller.

UCHealth Memorial Hospital's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program in Colorado Spring, Colorado, will open a new, $3 million grant-funded Forensic Center of Excellence, with five rooms and, eventually, a staff of more than two dozen and will be the only center of its kind, with round-the-clock staffing, adjacent to an emergency department and with an entire hospital system of resources at its fingertips, said Jennifer Pierce-Weeks, CEO of the International Association of Forensic Nurses.
