"The proposed sale to Acadia no longer is the right deal at the right time," Cynthia Persily, chief executive officer of Highland, said in a news release. The decision comes three months after Highland Hospital's board of directors unanimously agreed to sell the hospital located in the Kanawha City area of Charleston.
