Manager, Nursing (RN) – Commerce Clinic
Full-Time/Regular; Req #90
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administrative and business management of AltaMed's Commerce Clinic.
•Oversee patient care services, including planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating/improving clinical care services and programs.
•Manage outpatient programs, services and operations to meet quality nursing and patient care standards.
•Design and implement systems, processes and methods to evaluate and improve patient care; achieve integrated services across continuum of care and manage and ensure CI.
•Plan and participate in development and delivery of staff educational programs.
•Participate in formulating, implementing and evaluating business plans/strategies and new models/methods of service delivery.
•Ensure quality patient outcomes for key areas of responsibility (i.e. HEDIS, preventive care and 'meaningful use').
•Ensure staff compliance with Nurse Practice Act, TJC, NCQA, and federal, state and local requirements.
•Conduct audits and oversee health plan and regulatory compliance.
•Provide input on budgets and monitor/improve financial performance and service quality.
•Coordinate delivery of Patient Care Medical Home services.
•Participate in developing processes to screen, interview, hire, train, and maintain competency of all department staff.
•Bachelor's degree in Nursing. (Master's in Nursing, Health Services, Business Administration, or Management preferred.)
•Current, valid RN license through the California Board of Registered Nursing.
•Minimum 4 years' clinical care management or related clinical management experience.
•Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
•Knowledge of clinical care practices, operations and local/state/federal regulatory standards.
•Computer literacy in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint. (EHR/EMR system experience preferred.)
•Current CPR/First Aid Training.
•Excellent time management, motivational, teaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills.
•Thorough knowledge of Outpatient clinic practice management guidelines and City, County, State, and Federal regulations.
•Ability to work effectively with diverse patients/cultural differences.
•Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese preferred.
