Health costs squeeze budgets of TN, local governments

Many governments throughout Middle Tennessee are finding they need to cover double-digit increases in health insurance premiums for thousands of employees as revenues decline, halt, or grow slowly. Many places are having a hard time meeting the higher costs. Williamson County's school system is seeking a property tax increase to cover higher premiums, while state government is adjusting insurance plans because it can't afford more than a 3% increase, The Tennessean reports.
