Universal Health may win Psychiatric Solutions

Universal Health Services has signed a deal to buy Psychiatric Solutions, one of the nation's biggest operators of mental health clinics. Universal Health is said to be paying about $2 billion in cash, or about $33.75 a share. Universal Health is beating out Bain Capital for Psychiatric Solutions, a 22-year-old company that operates 94 facilities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Bain had been working with Psychiatric Solutions' chief executive in its bid.
