Tussle at New York City hospital in corruption case

A $1 billion hospital network is facing new questions about its operations in the wake of an influence-peddling scandal that sent a former Queens, NY, assemblyman to prison for six years. Former trustees of one of the hospitals operated by MediSys Health Network said MediSys executives kept board members in the dark about business dealings between company management and Anthony Seminerio, the former lawmaker who pleaded guilty to a federal corruption charge, the Wall Street Journal reports.
