LSU, Tulane get nearly $4M more in Katrina rebuilding grants

The medical enterprises at Louisiana State and Tulane universities will receive almost $4 million in federal compensation for facilities damage suffered as a consequence of Hurricane Katrina.Tulane will receive $2,269,692 for repairs to the Tulane University Medical School Building on Tulane Avenue. LSU will receive $1,691,399 as compensation for damage and loss of contents in 23 properties of the Health Care Services Division, which includes the Medical Center of Louisiana's Charity Hospital and University Hospital.
