Hartford Hospital gets a mention in Apple iPhone ad
Hartford Courant, October 26, 2011
"What's the fastest way to Hartford Hospital?" is the question directed to Siri, the Apple iPhone 4S voice-command feature, on an ad that's airing on national TV. The CEO of Mintz & Hoke, the Avon ad agency that represents the UConn Health Center, was astounded by Hartford Hospital's luck. "Really, it's a coup," Chris Knopf said."There's no product right now you'd rather be associated with," he said of Apple's gadgets, adding that the hospital will get the spillover from "whatever halo is coming off the spot." Apple's ad agency, Media Arts Lab in Los Angeles, isn't saying how it picked Hartford Hospital. The firm declined to deliver a person for any questions, in keeping with Apple's closed-mouth culture about its marketing.
