Solantic to open a second headquarters in Nashville

Jacksonville-based Solantic, the chain of urgent-care clinics co-founded by Gov. Rick Scott, plans to open a second headquarters in Nashville, Tenn. The company announced the move Wednesday. It should be complete by the end of the year. Company CEO Michael Klein cited Nashville Health Care Council statistics among reasons to make a new base in Middle Tennessee. More than 250 healthcare companies call the region home, according to the group's studies. Some 56 of them create 400,000 jobs and $62 billion in revenue. The Nashville expansion will create new positions. The company did not provide specifics. Billing operations will continue to be handled in Northeast Florida.
