HHS announces Stage 2 in promotion of electronic health records
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius recently announced the next steps in the government's efforts to encourage doctors and hospitals to use electronic health records (EHR). Under the HITECH Act, doctors, healthcare professionals and hospitals can qualify for Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments when they adopt and meaningfully use certified EHR technology.
