Deal directly with payers to bypass repricers when you treat out-of-network plan members
If you treat a plan member out of network, you're likely to hear from a repricer who represents the member's payer and will ask you to discount your fee, either on a one-time or continual basis. If you refuse to work with the repricer as a matter of policy, you could miss an opportunity to work with a local payer with whom you would like a relationship.
