New Web site features patient satisfaction ratings for California hospitals
A new site ( http://www.calhospitals.org ) allows consumers to compare hospital satisfaction scores within California. Using the Web site, they are able to compare severity-controlled results for hospitals by city, county, or zip code.
The data reflect nearly 35,000 responses to a statewide patient experience survey involving 181 hospitals, conducted in July through October, 2002--the largest "scientifically valid" survey of its kind ever published about individual hospitals.
