Complete Economic Stimulus Coverage

HealthLeaders Media, June 3, 2009

President Barack Obama has signed a $787 billion stimulus bill into law, and expanding healthcare coverage is clearly one of the plan's largest priorities: Approximately $150 billion is dedicated to healthcare expenditures. For the past few month one of the hottest issue circulating in the web is the issue of health care reform, but just recenlty it was dominated by the Financial reform bill. Its is all about protecting the financial system and the broader economy and American taxpayers in the event that a large financial firm begins to fail. The Financial Reform Bill is set to go to the Senate this week or next. The Bill passed the House of Representatives in December, and is awaiting approval from the Senate. However, the Financial Reform Bill summary S 3271 has a methods to go before it can be implemented. First, it must be reconciled, then it has to be approved again, then it has to still be signed by the President of the United States. This Bill has an extensive journey before it becomes law, but it does look to be proceeding in that direction.
