Ex-Genzyme CEO gives $10M for MGH cancer center

The former chief executive of biotechnology company Genzyme Corp. is donating $10 million to Massachusetts General Hospital to help establish a center to study personalized cancer treatment.The donation announced Tuesday will help the hospital launch the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies. It will focus on developing and testing new generations of molecular-based drugs that attack specific genetic mutations responsible for various cancers.
