Embattled NJ hospital appoints new CEO

NJ.com / The Star-Ledger, August 20, 2014

Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center has named its chief nursing officer as CEO to replace Thomas Considine, who has left as leader of the hospital after only three months on the job to become a consultant to the Secaucus facility’s self insurance plan. The appointment of Felicia Karsos settles what has been an open question since Aug. 1, when a hospital spokesman acknowledged board members were looking for a new role for Considine, Meadowlands’ third CEO in the last 3-1/2 years.
