Let the sunshine in Here's another story of nurses who went out of their way to give patients an excellent experience: This past summer, Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) in Parole, MD, underwent a series of renovations. To shield patients from construction activity, the hospital covered the windows with a light-blocking film. Guess what? That made for gloomy rooms. So Mary Cohn and Annette Bargmann, nurses with an artistic streak, marched into patient rooms armed with paint, decorating the film-covered windows.
