Dominican doctors strike for better pay, work conditions

Thousands of doctors have gone on strike at public hospitals across the Dominican Republic to demand higher salaries and better working conditions. More than 10,000 doctors were participating in the strike, and organizers have warned of a possible weeklong stoppage if the government does not meet their demands.
