Massachusetts medical team becomes first from U.S. to treat earthquake victims

A Massachusetts medical team was the first U.S. government medical mission to treat patients in Haiti after last Tuesday's massive earthquake. On the Massachusetts-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team's first day of operation, it met a steady stream of patients, the Boston Globe reports. The team decided to focus on patients with the most urgent needs and most amenable to treatment.
