Trail of disquieting reports from hospitals of Select Medical

New York Times, February 10, 2010

The New York Times received reports directly from Medicare under a Freedom of Information Act request that asked for reports of Select Medical Corporation hospitals citing "condition level" violations, or problems so serious that Medicare could bar the hospitals from the program if they were not corrected. In addition, several "standard level" reports from Florida and Pennsylvania describe very serious incidents, the Times reports.
