Medical alliance to combine forces on achieving cancer designation

A collection of hospital executives will gather in Kansas City, KS, to officially mark a collaborative effort toward achieving National Cancer Institute designation. A signing ceremony of the Midwest Cancer Alliance Partners Advisory Board has been scheduled at the University of Kansas Medical Center School of Nursing in Kansas City. Members include leaders from major hospitals and research institutions who have expressed a desire to provide strategic guidance toward achieving NCI designation for the Kansas City region. The board will collaborate on research and education and will leverage the regional strengths in areas such as drug discovery and development.
