HP snags $200M Medicare claims contract

Palo Alto, CA-based HP Enterprise Services has been awarded a $200 million contract for Medicare Part B claims processing by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Under the contract, HP will provide applications support and maintenance services, including full development life cycle support for system maintenance and enhancements. The company will help implement large-scale legislative mandates, such as HIPAA 5010 transactions and ICD-10 code sets; consolidate processing cycles or establish new MACs system environments within the CMS enterprise data centers; and develop new MCS system interfaces in support of the CMS National Level Repository.
