One way is to get patients qualified for reimbursement through various government programs. Hospital staffers may lack the expertise skills needed to track applications through a long, perilous path to approval. And they have too many other duties.
That's why University of Louisville Hospital brought in Chamberlin Edmonds. $90 million later, it looks like the hospital made a good decision.
