John Halamka's IT blog John was the first CIO I interviewed in person for our "Behind the Wires" profile series, about to enter its fifth year. He's the CIO at Caregroup, a Boston-based delivery system, and also doubles as CIO of Harvard Medical School. John has been a tireless physician champion of clinical IT and a great source for many reporters. I remember the first time I interviewed him: he granted me temporary access to Caregroup's intranet, so I could see first-hand how clinical data was presented to physicians.
