A new study from the Journal of General Internal Medicine finds that more than half of the 271 bloggers surveyed provided enough information in their text or images to reveal their identities. University Medical Center is getting some "much-needed" tech upgrades
The University of Chicago is spending $700 million to create a new hospital pavilion for the University Medical Center. The pavilion will house the latest technology, such as robotic-assisted surgeries, and allow for futuristic technology yet to be created, executives say. [Read More]

The Blues health plans want doctors to use e-prescribing
Doctors in North Carolina have a new incentive to begin electronic prescribing. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina announced a plan to offer a $1,000 payment to physicians who join the e-prescribing movement. The insurer has also launched a Web site that allows doctors to get free software from Allscripts Inc., and visit links to sources for discounted PDAs and a host of other e-prescribing technologies.
