Hospital Satisfaction Drops While Overall Consumer Satisfaction Rises
Americans' satisfaction with the hospital industry dropped 5% between the first quarters of 2009 and 2010, falling to its lowest level in five years, according to the American Consumer Satisfaction Index. The ACSI gauges satisfaction on a 100-point scale, and the hospital industry fell from a score of 77 to 73 this year. A 12% dip in ER satisfaction in the first quarter was partly responsible for the drop. Overall, the healthcare sector was down nearly 2% for the year. [Read More]
