DAYTON, OH: Kinsaul to retire from Dayton Children's
David Kinsaul, president/CEO of the Children's Medical Center of Dayton, plans to retire June 30, according to an email sent to employees. Kinsaul, 63, came to Dayton Children's in 2003 after 14 years as executive vice president and chief operating officer for the Children's Health System in Birmingham, AL. The board will launch a national search for a CEO in early 2012. Kinsaul has also announced Matt Graybill will become COO for Dayton Children's, effective Oct. 3. Graybill is the hospital's vice president for business development and planning. [Read More]

NASHVILLE, TN: HCA execs get new responsibilities
HCA has announced that two veteran HCA division presidents are undertaking new responsibilities. Stephen E. Corbeil, who has been president of the company's Midwest Division in Kansas City since 2007, will become president of HCA's Nashville-based TriStar Division. He replaces Larry Kloess, whose retirement was announced earlier this month. In addition, HCA Delta Division President Mel Lagarde will become president of HCA's newly-named MidAmerica Division, based in Kansas City. This division includes the company's existing Delta Division based in New Orleans and Midwest Division operations. These transitions begin immediately. [Read More]

HINSDALE, IL: Adventist Hinsdale Hospital names CEO
Adventist Hinsdale Hospital has announced the immediate appointment of Michael J. Goebel as CEO. Goebel, 52, of Hinsdale, most recently was the hospital's vice president/COO. Before Goebel's promotion, David L. Crane served in a dual role as CEO of both Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and Adventist Midwest Health. Crane now re-assumes the position of president/CEO of Adventist Midwest Health, comprised of the four suburban Chicago hospitals of Adventist Hinsdale, Adventist Bolingbrook, Adventist GlenOaks and Adventist La Grange Memorial hospitals and Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI. Goebel has served as Adventist Hinsdale Hospital's COO since March 2010. [Read More]

BANGOR, ME: Acadia Hospital announces leadership changes
Two top-tier executives who served at The Acadia Hospital with former CEO David Proffitt will leave their leadership positions, the hospital has announced. Vice President/COO Jamie Morrill will leave Acadia altogether. CMO Allen Schaffer, MD, has been reassigned to provide direct patient care at the 100-bed psychiatric hospital. Anthony Ng, MD, will serve as Acadia's interim CMO until a permanent candidate is identified. The changes take effect Sept 24. Recently appointed Acadia CEO Dan Coffey said Morrill's position will be eliminated and his duties and responsibilities will be reassigned to other executive staff. Morrill has agreed to be available to perform part-time consulting work for Acadia through March 2012. [Read More]

MELROSE PARK, IL: Brown named CEO of Westlake Hospital
William A. Brown has been named CEO for Westlake Hospital, in Melrose Park. Brown comes to Westlake most recently from Provena Health where he served as system senior vice president as well as president/CEO of Provena Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Prior to working for Provena, Brown was leader of both community and academic-affiliated health systems and hospitals across the country, including secular and faith-based, not-for-profit, and for-profit organizations. NEW PORT RICHEY, FL: Romanchik named CFO at Community Hospital
Alex Romanchik has been named CFO at Community Hospital, the future Medical Center of Trinity. Romanchik comes to Community Hospital from Charleston, SC, where he served as Division Controller of Hospital Corporation of America's South Atlantic Division, a position he has held since December 2008. Before that Romanchik was the Jacksonville (FL) Market Controller, overseeing three HCA hospital facilities, and then assumed the role of Controller at HCA's Memorial Hospital. [Read More]

Capella Healthcare has announced the appointment of Neil W. Kunkel as senior vice president/general counsel/secretary effective Oct. 1.
