Beer-Fueled Renewable Energy
One of the best parts of my job is when we ask a healthcare leader to speak on one subject and find out that they are also doing something with real push in another area of healthcare. CEO Jeffrey Thompson, M.D, of Gundersen Lutheran Health System in La Crosse, WI, appeared at our Top Leadership Teams in Healthcare conference panel on administrative efficiency, and as part of that described his system's efforts to "get 100 percent of our energy needs for our facilities by 2014 by creating renewable energy and improving energy efficiency." Of course being in Wisconsin, there is a brewery involved.
