When scanning the newswires, there's no shortage of reporters, consultants, medical tourism facilitators, and others who want to convince us that outbound medical tourism from the U.S. is a rapidly emerging trend. They say it's a matter of time until employers and insurers embrace medical travel as a cost-saving and safe solution.
