St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan has handed out termination notices to all 3,500 of its employees, the New York Times reports. The termination notices, required by state and federal labor regulations, follow the ending over the weekend of ambulance service to the hospital. The institution's top management were asked by the hospital board to resign and were told that they would face termination if they did not agree, according to an executive who asked not to be named because the decision had not been formally announced.
