Carolinas HealthCare System has agreed to provide services to members of Humana Inc.'s Medicare Advantage insurance plans. The contract covers health-maintenance organizations, preferred-provider organizations, and private fee-for-service plans. The multi-year agreement takes effect June 1. It expands access to Carolinas Healthcare's network of more than 1,500 physicians in the Carolinas, and also covers 29 of the 32 hospitals affiliated with the system.
