A group of investors looking to get money it lost in the Stanford Financial Group ponzi scheme has sued St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, its fundraising arm American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities Inc. and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital Foundation for more than $7.3 million. The suit was filed by the group that calls itself the "Official Stanford Investors Committee" in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division. The money the group is trying to retrieve was given to the Memphis organizations at a time when Stanford was insolvent and R. Allen Stanford operated the company "in furtherance of his fraudulent scheme," the suit states.
