Jackson Health System labor costs scrutinized

Under questioning by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez, a Jackson Health System executive said the system's healthcare labor costs are a problem and need to be cut. Fort-one business and civic leaders sent the mayor a letter urging major reductions in labor costs. The discussion occurred during a regularly scheduled "management watch" session between the mayor, his top staff, and Jackson leaders, the Miami Herald reports.
