Upstate University Hospital generated a record profit of $120 million on revenue of $1.02 billion in 2015. More than half of the profit came from a one-time increased government payment for serving large numbers of Medicaid and uninsured patients, and from the sale of its share of the Laboratory Alliance of Central New York.
